So what's this blog all about? I started it a few years ago to document the recording of my full length debut album for my solo project Voices of the Dead. Voices of the Dead is a band with elements of death/tribal/industrial/black/horror/psychedelia/ and experimental metal. We also do tribal drum/exotic instrument meditation tracks and other weird experimental stuff. At this point the blog serves that purpose in addition to detailing the day to day adventures I live. At the moment my girlfriend and our 2 cats live in a utility trailer we tow behind our van travelling around off the grid. You can expect stories of urban boon docking, wilderness survival, nature photography and video, weird stories about the crazy shit and interesting people we come across etc. Chock full of stoner moments, tarot reading, drum circles, cat adventures, witchcraft, consciousness expansion and more. You'll also find articles on consciousness expansion and self help in all areas. I'm interested in helping everyone be healthy, happy, successful and enlightened through my music, art, articles, tarot readings, energy healings and spiritual consultations. What the fuck are you waiting for? Scroll down and see for yourself!

September 20th, 2014:
Voices in Nature

Today was the first time we did our "Voices in Nature" show. What is it? Well we load the bus of the dead up with people and our generator to take everyone out to the middle of the woods for a bonfire and a live show. This first one went off without a hitch. It was so fun that no one wanted to leave, but alas, we have a gig in Worcester, MA tomorrow. This is the first of many more to come!

August 2014:
Holy shit everything went from dire to amazing all of a sudden!

So in late July, the trailer finally completely fell apart. I found a school bus to purchase. Jokingly, I said "Watch the trailer finally completely fall apart once we get the school bus." The trailer died several days before leaving to get the bus. Had to live in a trailer with a wall hanging off by a thread with 2 cats for several days boondocking in public parking lots.
Left the trailer in a parking lot and drove the van up to Houlton, ME 2 hours north of Bangor the next town over from Canada. 2 hours into the return trip, the van's distributer cap fried. We were stranded in Maine for several days, got the van fixed and drove the bus and van to an awesome friends house and said goodbye to the van, for now. Shortly thereafter I unfortunately also said goodbye to my gf and her cat.
As soon as this change happened, the door of oppurtunity was agape. I'm now in 2 different bands. I joined a new one on guitar and their drummer is playing drums for Voices of the Dead. Currently in Fitchburg, MA discussing touring with 2 different bands in my full sized school bus with full road crew and managers in the not too distant future.
The debut full length album will FINALLY be released in Autumn of 2014. It is sounding better than ever. I finally have a high quality system to mix on in a house full of musicians and friends that feel more like a family than a band. I think that about sums it up for now.

June-July, 2014:
Marathon adventures

We met a local guitarist that is a Voices of the Dead potential. 2 months of constant adventures and making all kinds of awesome new friends around Vermont and upstate New York. Too many stories to list really, just a whirlwind of fun and wilderness :)

May, 2014:

Spent most of the month staying with the friends we met from our mobile billboard, trying to get our shit together as our trailer falls apart.

April 26th, 2014:
The Dichotomy of Vermont; a sassy lady.

Well, Vermont's weather isn't necessarily the most inviting force in the world. Night one EXTREME wind, I was afraid the trailer was going to topple over. It felt like Sasquatch was outside our trailer throwing it to and fro. Panels ripped off the roof, it's leaking. The walls are warping and bursting off because they leak. The panelling on the lower parts of the outside of the trailer are all falling off and seperating from it and it is cold as FUCK. The sun is no where to be seen, it's been days since I've been able to charge our battery so I can practice for the upcoming show and completion of the CD. Took a long ass while to get the fire going, had to tend it literally minute by minute just to keep it afloat. Maybe it goes without saying, but this wasn't the best of mornings. We went into town later to get in touch with friends and business contacts. We are parked on the street cruising on the towns free wifi. I am on the phone with a good friend discussing gig bookings as Jada is making a new friend while sitting in the passenger seat purely because of the billboard painted on the back of the trailer.

Back home!!!

Back in the green mountains!!

April 16th, 2014:

Left Honey Hill, checked out myrtle beach on the way to NC, stopped at the ripleys odditorium. Pretty cool, not quite as impressive as I expected it to be.

April 15th, 2014:

Been camping just outside of charleston SC for a while now, for a couple of days we hung out with a couple who were moving to vermont in a week, what are the fuckin odds? Got creative with pictures:

April 8th, 2014:
Well hot damn, Georgia is pretty fuckin progressive for the south.

We saw yoga, a hybrid car, and a couple of lesbians. Camped just south of the Tennessee border for almost a week, fucking awesome spot, no dueling banjos suprisingly. The mobile billboard has gotten quiiiiiite a bit of attention here. Just about every car that drove by our campsite stopped to take a peek. Then we spent the next few days staying with several awesome friends outside of Atlanta having a fucking blast. Hung at the kick ass southern studio of "Mahayley's Grave" with a couple of the band members. Awesome dudes, awesome music, awesome story behind the name, awesome, highly recommended. Played some serious mortal kombat back at the house as Atlanta was flooding. Thank you nature for giving us 5 days of sunshine in your wilderness and saving the rain for the two days we spent in a house and a studio filled with awesome people and great times.

April 2nd, 2014:
Ooga.

I've finally been brought out of the stone ages of recording. As much as I THOROUGHLY embrace my inner caveman(more on that later) recording in Cool Edit 2.0 from 1998 through a lexicon omega(a possessed one at that) is a god damn nightmare. In one fell swoop a person very near and dear to me helped me procure a line 6 ux8 8 mic/line channel usb interface with every vst amp, effect, and microphone imaginable. Some people hate line 6, I personally love it. If I could afford their tube half stack, I'd be playing through that as well. I also picked up a copy of Reaper which is a recording software that sells for fuckin $60 and does everything pro tools or cubase can. You can use the product for free if just for personal use, so to say I fucking love this program is an understatement. Working on recordings is so much easier and effficient now. As much as I love the new set up, prince loves the box.

The Spring Equinox!

Happy Spring to everyone! Today is the real start to the new year. I have to adjust the solar panels to a more horizontal angle to keep up with the changing path of the sun. Let this powerful day be a new beginning for you, use it's energy to do some spring cleaning for your psyche and let your microcosm affect the macrocosm. Use this energy to further the peaceful energy set forth from the last blog entry about Russia and the Ukraine.

March 18th, 2014:

This past full moon has been ripe with conflict and self doubt. The energy of the full moon is undeniable, ask any emergency room nurse, paramedic or police officier and they will tell you all about it. Instead of engaging our amygdla by focusing on the problem; things we fear(war, disease, pain, death) let us focus on the solutions. While we are a few days past the full moon at this point, it's energy is still here. Let us use it to focus on peace between the US, Russia and the Ukraine. Stop reading the news articles designed to keep you in a state of fear, and instead envision complete peace and unity for all. Focus on it intellectually, but more importantly LOVE the vision you are creating in your mind. Feel the emotions you will feel knowing you helped settle the conflict. Envision the three countries working together peacefully as vividly as possible.

Day 2. The interface works only when right side up..

March 10th, 2014:

So, people that have been fans of the band for a while tend to wonder, what the fuck is the deal with the full length album? When's it gonna be done? Well here's an anecdote that may shed some light.
Got set up to record the last couple vocal takes. The usb interface would not be recognized by the computer until I beat the shit out of the top of it, and then turned it upside down. This took 20 minutes to discover. Then, I get what seems like a perfect take, and when I go to listen to it, it somehow is exponentially faster than the track itself. So yeah, be patient with me, you have no idea the type of possessed machinery I have to deal with.

March 9th, 2014:

The Amygdla
It seems our society is almost entirely dictated by the amygdla, the reptilian part of the brain which is responsible for primal instincts such as fear, anxiety, ritual displays, ego, and aggression. It's the part of the brain leftover after our evolution into humans.

It's ironic, because these aspects of the brain need to be shut out, while still retaining a relationship with our primal side. Without it we can not survive in nature, but when we over embrace it, power hungry war mongering sociopaths are able to gain power and authority enabling a broad and manipultive platform to tell us how to act, think, feel, and eat through their control of the media. 95% of all media are owned by 6 parent company corporations. i'm not asking you to take my word for it, look it up for yourself.

Said sociopaths have ushered us into a system that creates money out of thin air. In the us each bank is only required to have reserves equal to 10% of its checkable deposits. So if 100% of us were to go to our prospective banks right now, 90% would be shit out of luck. Bills and coins are fiat currency(nothing of value to back them up) and fiat currency makes up only a small portion of the money in circulation in the world.

Where does all the money come from? whenever a bank writes a loan, that money is quite literally pulled out of thin air and manually entered into a checking or savings account(as long as they have at least 10% of the loans value on hand in the form of checking deposits). This isn't a conspiracy theory, look up how money is created. That could be the subject of an entire book in and of itself.

Using banks is directly contributing to corporate fat cats getting richer, as our dollar loses it's value day by day. The average life expectancy of a fiat currency system is 27 years. The longest existing fiat currency, the british pound has deppreciated 99.5% since it's inception just over 300 years ago.

As if that isn't bad enough, the us government is currently listed as the second biggest threat to world peace just behind iran, who hasn't invaded one country since WW2. the us has invaded iran repeatedly in that time frame among many many others. When you pay income taxes you are directly supporting the biggest terrorist organization in the history of the world. The corporate fat cats holding the puppet strings behind the scenes are making money off of both sides of any given war through military contracting, all the while, they are dumping toxic chemicals into our food and water supply that dumb us down, deplete our immune system, impair our neurological and cognitive functioning.

Whenever you take out a loan from a bank, buy any taxed good, pay income taxes or buy food and water from anything but a local organic source, you are contributing to all of these problems. The only real solution is to grow/raise/create what you can on your own and then use those items to barter for what you need. It's easier than you'd think, and places all over the world are starting to follow suit. Are you ready to evolve?

I've just realized I have spiritual blue balls.
I literally feel like shit if I'm not doing tarot readings and energy healings. I have a lot of natural energy that I've learned to harness and shit gets chaotic if it isn't directed. I'll go back to doing them for free if I have to. Barter with me, anything of value to me or that I could get money for is fine. Everyone deserves free spiritual consultations, and everyone has something of value to offer in return aside from a set monetary fee.
Tarot readings are good for recieving advice and spiritual guidance in times of confusion, tough decisions, hardships, or even just to look into things in general for curiousity or otherwise. Energy healings are good for anything that ails you or someone you love. Both readings and healings can and have been done at great distance via the internet. Maybe it's entirely coincidence, but every healing I have done has left the person free of whatever it was that ailed them.
Apparently I had lost my way a little bit camping homeless for the last 6 months. I'm done trying to preach about how to save the world, I'm going back to helping it one person, and one problem at a time. I may be a little rusty so bear with me, but let's do this.

February 14th, 2014:

Guess what me and jada are doing for Valentines Day; continuing to treat each other the same way people do on this arbitrary day, except we do it every single day of the year(minus the commercialism)

February 10th, 2014:

Let's review the difference between the cops in Vermont, and the cops in florida. In Vermont we were smoking weed as a sheriff pulls up to our campsite, I have a weed leaf sweatshirt on and the cops first words are "No no you're fine, you're not doing anything wrong...nice shirt"
Now in florida, we are woken up with a knock on our trailer at a campsite. First the cop claims he ran our trailer plate and it 'didn't come back" so he has me get out and show the registration for the trailer, and the van, and my id. He asks how jada and I met, and then asks for her id to make sure she wasn't kidnapped. Then the next day he comes back, we are doing yoga with a witchcraft besom next to us. he asks what it is, I tell him, and then he says, 'are drugs involved with that' I tell him some are for it, some are against it depends on the person. He asks if he can peek his head in our open van...knowing my rights and that nothing is visible I say 'yes you can peek your head in.' he does so then asks if he can search my backpack. At this point I was fed up with the invansion of privacy/harassment so luckily I know my rights and denied the request. We left that site as soon as he did.

I'd like to make it clear that we DO NOT travel with Marijuana in states where it is illegal to do so. Law enforcement officials please save our time and your own.

Even once this passes nationally we will still be openly filming all encounters with authority for personal safety.

February 7th, 2014:

We had been camping off and on at this particular spot for what we thought was 2-3 weeks(it had actually been a month). We were never there for more than 2 or 3 nights in a row because we would end up going to shows, or hanging out and crashing at friends places. The officials show up and basically inform us we need to leave. I won't get into details, but apparently they didn't take kindly to our type around here. We had been doing this for months in Vermont with no problem. Travel always help us appreciate our new home state. Can't wait to go back, just waiting on the snow to let up.

New video of our homeless wilderness journey just uploaded. This one has us braving the urban wilderness of the Boston suburbs as homeless types for a gig in Revere at the end of August 2013. It includes highlights such as checking out a band rehearsal space run by Nazis, a trip to a beach with a wormhole to silent hill, hanging out with the local homeless types and just general fuckery.

January 28, 2014:

Soo, Jada and I are here hanging out with her family playing video games with her little cousin....awaiting the snow? Northwest florida. Snow. Shit aint right, but damn everyone here is so fuckin excited for it haha.

Jada's getting poked...A LOT
This weekend it's not just me doing the poking, our good friend Andi Smith is doing a piercing project on my lovely lady. Had a blast hanging out with Andi and her family, Jada was smoking fucking hot in her shoot as usual(pics coming soon).
As if that weren't bad enough, check out the last time her and Andi did a piercing project. A corset piercing; delicious.

Dabs

Need I say more? To me it is entirely unappealing. The picture is a perfect example of what it is like. For those that don't know "dabbing" refers to smoking a highly refined thc oil extracted with butane. It felt more like opium to me. Speech and motor functions are impaired significantly. To me it is unneccessary, undesirable, and in fact disrespectful to the plant, your body, and mind. It's a pretty fucking amazing plant straight out of the ground.
